The Nicklas Insurance Agency was established in 1962 by Richard J. Nicklas. Dick founded the agency with a firm commitment to the growth and success of not only the business but also the surrounding areas.

In 1983, our agency joined forces with three other agencies to form The Keystone Insurers Group. Today, Keystone Insurers Group has over 100 locations across Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina and Indiana providing: Insurance, Financial Services, Pensions and Employee Benefits, Risk Management Consultation and Investments to over 250,000 individuals and businesses developing in excess of $774,000,000 in sales.

Locally, our agency has expanded rapidly in the last 10 years with locations in St. Marys, Ridgway, Coudersport and Erie, Pennsylvania.  Recent acquisitions of Kronenwetter Insurance Agency (2004 – St. Marys), Coudersport Insuring Company (2007 – Coudersport) and Anderson & Kime Insurance Agency (Ridgway -2004), has enabled us to provide products and unparalleled service to customers in Western Pennsylvania, New York and Ohio.   

Over the years, our experience and expertise has been instrumental in our ability to change with the times. Today, computers and state-of-the-art business systems keep us in sync with the demanding needs of our growing list of satisfied customers.
